Which of these should I take in the same semester?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

For the BSN program at my school, the most challenging pre-requisites (in my opinion) are:

A&P 1 and 2, Intro Chemistry, Microbiology and Pathophysiology

This semester, I'm taking A&P 1 and Chemistry.

What should I take together in my next 2 semesters (nursing program would start in my 2013 spring semester, so I'll only have 2 semesters after this one to finish pre-reqs)?

I'll most likely take A&P 2 next semester, so should I take Patho or Micro with it? Or should I take Patho and Micro in the same semester, and ONLY do A&P 2 next semester?

Which combination of those would be the easiest to manage?

Thanks~

i waould take path the semester right after ap. micro is tough..... but it has to be done lol. can you take one alone during the summer session?

take A&P 2 and Micro next, then take the pathophysiology last. Thats what I would do anyway. Good Luck!

Patho relies a lot on A&P so I would take it after you finish A&P 2. I took micro and patho together and it wasn't too bad but I don't think A&P and micro would be unmanageable, either.

I agree.

I completely agree with this. I took Micro and physio together and managed A's in both. I am taking patho right now and it is important to know all your A&P when learning patho. Also, when I took micro and physio together, I thought that there was a lot of overlapping between the two classes which was nice. Good luck!!

Thanks for the input guys! I'll definitely take Patho after A&P 2.

honestly i found myself annoyed with basically reviewing AP2 in patho so i would take together....micro also would be good with AP2, thats how i did it. micro was borrrriiiinnnggg!

I'd take pathophysiology after A&P 2 so that'd leave you with microbiology to take with A&P 2 which I'd think would be handy before patho.

Or you could take real chemistry one and two with A&P's and then take micro with patho. ;)
