Which book is best to use when reviewing for NET

Yes, get that one. I took the net twice using the study guide off there, and it tells you everything you need to know, along with sample questions. You might be able to find one cheaper on e-bay, but that is the book to get. Good luck.

I have the third one by mary mcmahon and like it so far, although I did NOT know about the other one suggested by the company that made the test, so I will be ordering that too!!

It does not say rather it for LPn or RN entrance, does that make a difference? If not i will probably get this one

The NET is the NET, there's no difference in if you're going for LPN or RN.

I know why you feel the need to buy these books to help prepare for the test, but I can tell you, I really can't see too much of a need for them. The math test can be easily passed by simply reviewing the final lessons in a fifth grade math book, and basic "solve for X" algebra. Long multiplication, long division, ratios, precents and decimals... 3+2x=7...The reading portion is mainly about grasping the main idea of a paragraph.. I promise guys.. the test is NOT hard.

It's not hard, I agree, but the study guide gives you an idea of what to focus your energy on. The sample questions are just like the questions on the NET.

I guess I disagree. It gives you a great idea of the types of questions being asked (coming prepared gives you a definite advantage) and also gives you some excellent test-taking strategies (such as - if one of the answers has a definitive in it, it's most likely NOT the correct response). It also gives you an idea of where your weaknesses are, so you can better prepare in those areas. I took the first sample test before reading the book and scored an overall 85. I read through the book and especially worked on my weak spots, and the second sample test I scored a 90. I worked some more on my weak spots, and ended up with an overall 93% on the test.

I am not too worried about the other parts to much , because I have taken american lit I and II and english Comp in college. I have also taken college algebra and stats, but its the basics u forget. When i firsts took TABE i scored a 12.9 on the reading and comprehension part and a 10.5 on math, studied for a week scored 12.9 on math so reviewing my weakness helped me. The TABE was mostly ratios, pecents, decimals and fraction,etc, i guess it simliar

The advisors at the school said that studying a ACT study guide would be ok too, i took that too, but that was gosh about 10 year ago, i score a 20 or 21,, which was considered real good back then, i dunno how it works now :rotfl:
