Where to Submit International Diploma Verification- DFA or PRC

World Registration

Updated:   Published

International RN graduate from the Philippines here. I have re-applied recently in CA-BON form NCLEX-RN since my initial application expired in 2019. I have received the International Diploma Verification form from the Board of Nursing. When I called BON this morning, I was informed that this form has to be submitted to DFA. I spoke with my nursing school, and they told me it should be submitted to PRC. Does anybody know where to send this to in the Philippines? I am currently in California and presently seeking to complete my requirements. Anybody who can shed light is greatly appreciated.

This is how I did it:

I sent the form to my school from there, and my school sent the state and some paperwork or my transcripts, I guess, to Iloilo CHED, then CHED sent everything back to my school. I had my mom pick it up, and she processed it at DFA for apostille. After the process, my mom sent it to the board.

Hi. I processed my apostille last year in DFA Aseana. But I didn't know that DFA should be the one to send the documents. So I just brought it here in the US. I just got an email yesterday from Cali BRN that I needed to submit the International License Verification and give them a copy of my Ph license. I  graduated last year but didn't take the licensure exam in the Philippines. Do I still need to take the exam in PH to get a license? Or can they approve me if I send the international license verification of my diploma? Thank you.

Hi,

Did you get your paperwork back from the DFA?

Yes. Although I brought it here with me in the US.

Oh okay. Is it still sealed? If so, try to send it to the board. Mine was sent from the Philippines. I had my parents send the papers, works apostille, and stuff to the board.

The board approved my application and the paperwork sent from the Philippines.

Unfortunately, it's not sealed. Although I can request again, can the documents be sent through a third-party courier like dhl in the Philippines? I also would like to ask you, did you have a PH license when you applied for NCLEX? Because I didn't take the exam for licensure in the Philippines after graduation.

DHL will send the Documents to the Board of Nursing here, and the DHL knows how to send them. Ensure the employee who will process your documents in DHL knows the process. They must separate whatever documents from school and DFA or whatever is required in your states.

I have no license in the PH also; it's not required to take the NCLEX. All we need is to verify our credentials in CGFNS. That's how it works here in NY. Maybe different in other states.

Yes, I think so too. But I already sent my application here in California. I don't know if I still need to take the local boards in the Philippines if I ever accomplish and submit the verification for my diploma. I am also confused because the form requires a license number. So I don't know if getting a ph license to fill out that form is needed. Here is the sample form.

I got confused with this form, also. I filled out the form and gave it to my school. But my school didn't fill it out. I tried to give it to the DFA, and they said they're not the ones who fill that out. I even contacted the person assigned as my Licensing Evaluator to clear out the confusion. I didn't send this form to the California Board, and I got approved with my license.
I think that Other documents that California Board needs support the information that is needed on that form, like your diploma, etc.

Alright. I'll try to contact Cali BRN first to clarify. Because I'm still in the initial application phase. Thank you for the information

I have been following this thread because I also need to IDV. Do I still need to include the form when I send my documents from DFA?
