Where to Submit International Diploma Verification- DFA or PRC

International RN graduate from the Philippines here. I have re-applied recently in CA-BON form NCLEX-RN since my initial application expired in 2019. I have received the International Diploma Verification form from the Board of Nursing. When I called BON this morning, I was informed that this form has to be submitted to DFA. I spoke with my nursing school, and they told me it should be submitted to PRC. Does anybody know where to send this to in the Philippines? I am currently in California and presently seeking to complete my requirements. Anybody who can shed light is greatly appreciated.

Hi I got the same note on my Breeze account as well. Although I've sent mine to BRN. My school sent these documents which is probably a big big no. I would like to have some insights from people here on what to do next.

I think from the school, you can take it to DFA for apostille and ask DFA to have it sealed with their return address so it would look like it came directly from them not the school. This is what I'm going to do on the 23rd since I already scheduled appointment with DFA.

Did your school already send your documents (TOR, diploma, etc.) to BRN? The school documents are a separate thing to be submitted from the Apostille with the return address of DFA. In my case, I submitted my sealed Apostille from DHL

If you're claiming your Apostille by the end of the month, you can bring your filled-out International Diploma Verification to DFA. So you can send it together with the Apostille from DFA

 

P.S. If you are near DFA Aseana, I think walk-ins are accepted, but you have to be early. I got there around 7am and I was finished by 8am

Hi miss Luna! Could you clarify this statement please? Do you mean I can take my filled out IDV to DFA, have it apostilled then bring it to DHL, correct? How long do you think I should be able to pick it up?

Yes, then I had my apostille from DFA sent back to my school after sending them the CAV so that it would just be one transaction overall. I did not know that I wasnt supposed to do that until BRN told me so. The apostille documents are now with the BRN however, I guess they are not accepting it? Does this mean I need to go back to my school and request for another CAV for CHED and bring it all back to DFA again? I have read that if I were to submit the International Diploma Verification form to DFA, they will be asking for the CAV documents.

Yes, that's what I did last year. I don't know if they changed their policy at this time. The first thing I did was to have my diploma and CAV from CHED to be Apostilled. Then, they gave me a date of when I would pick up my Apostille. I brought my filled-out IDV and a brown envelope to DFA. They placed a return address with the IDV and Apostille inside and sealed it. After all that, I sent it via DHL.

If I fill out the IDV form and send it to DFA, will they fill it out by itself or do I need to send them my apostille documents with it? they've completed my apostille already before and BRN already has received my apostille documents.

When did your school send your Apostille and IDV? Because if it's just recently, I think they are still taking their time to review it. But if you called BRN, and they already told you that they are not accepting it because it was sent by your school. I think you'll be processing your CAV and have it Apostille again. It should have the return address of DFA

I think you can inquire about it with DFA. But, first, make sure to know if the BRN didn't accept your Apostille or if it's just taking its time to be reviewed

It was recently, on 1/22/24. I was just wondering since the school sent them all the documents together and the BRN have reviewed them weeks after and showed this deficiency. Hopefully they are still in the process of reviewing it. I am just worried since I never filled out the IDV form. If it was the case, would I have to request for another apostille for the DFA to fill out the lower half of the IDV form?

I will be calling BRN tomorrow to clarify with this. Fingers crossed I wouldnt have to go through that process of waiting with my school documents and CHED CAV's.
