Hellllllooooooo Texas!
I am a new grad RN from California who is looking to relocate. After a very dedicated 7 month search for a job in my state I am throwing in the towel (its about time for a good adventure anyway). Where in Texas do they need new grads... and be honest. From what I have read on here Dallas in touch and go, there are no jobs in Austin, but are there really jobs for newbies in San Antonio? I would love some input.

In Philippines Nurses make around .50 cent per hour, and Average House Cost $10,000
The Phillippines employ very few of their graduates. Instead they view their human beings as export commodiities.
What that comment has to do with American nurses trying to find out their value in North America is not relevant to this topic.
Lubbock, Texas - that's where you need to be! It's not as big as Dallas/Houston/San Antonio - but there's Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian University, so there's quite a bit to do here - and not near as much traffic! And it's a big medical center - biggest between Dallas and Albuquerque or Phoenix. I work at Covenant Medical Center and there are lots of opportunities there - it's the biggest with ~600 beds. There is also University Medical Center, associated with the medical school. I love it here! Give us a try!
I am also going to be a new grad moving to Texas (most likely). I will be moving to Ft. Bliss in El Paso though. Does anyone have any information about jobs in that area for new grads? What the pay is like? I know the cost of living down there is very different from where I am living now (Northern NJ). I am just curious...Thanks so much!
