Where Can I Buy Saunders at Best Price.? Every Penny Counts!

Hello Nurses, Just joined and hope to do Suzanne's plan, to pass the NCLEX (AGAIN!) I left nursing 18 years ago, due to a bad MVA. Thought I could never nurse again, so I let my RN license go. Worst mistake of my life! You young ones, keep your license in good standing NO MATTER WHAT. You never know what path life will take. Easy to keep, but not easy to get back, when you have been out as long as me. Nevertheless, I am determined to be a nurse again (despite some disabilities and advanced age), and every penny counts, so could you please tell me where to buy Saunders at the best price? Thanks a lot!:paw:

Some people use Ebay, but if wanting to make sure it has the CD then probably suggest getting new from either Amazon, Barnes and Noble etc

Most definitely go for the new copy, then you know that it has the CD with it and that it will be in good shape. Buying it anywhere else, and you run the risk of either no CD or one in bad shape.

you can also check your local library. some libraries have multiple copies and wouldnt cost you anything.

I buy used books online. I use a search engine that will search and compare prices for you and you can choose the best price. I check the star rating of the seller, I check if they ship by standard shipping and how much that will be (standard shipping is the cheapest), I also read their description of the book (is it highlighted, does it have the CD) some do not describe if it has the CD but if there is a choice to email the seller I will email and ask. I have had great success at purchasing books this way for the past 3 years. Now I am hooked and will not purchase books any other way.

The website is

www.fetchbook.info

you can search by title, author, or ISBN#. then when a list is produced find the red words that say "Compare Prices" and click on it you will see a list from the least expensive to most expensive.

Best of Luck

Sometimes, AMAzon.com have used books with reasonable and cheap price. or if you know anyone, just ask if you can borrow?

Goodluck!

Please remember that it is not just the book, but the CD as well. And they are not always in the best of shape when you purchase them used.

When my daughter bought used books for college, I noticed that not one of her used books came with the CD. If I were you I would buy a new copy and get the CD. Prepping for NCLEX really is something you don't want to scrounge on because you want to maximize your chances of passing the first time. Good luck.

i got mine on ebay

Thank you everyone for all the great ideas. :yeah:I will try all of them. First, I tried the public library, as suggested, but they only had the 3rd edition, and Suzanne is requesting, or requiring, that we use the 4th edition. In any event, the one copy they had is "LOST" and it takes them several months, if I put in a request, for them to get the new one. So the librarian checked the libraries at both our local Junior College and our State University, which I would not have thought to do. Great idea, I thought, but only the State University had the book, and again it was the 3rd edition, not the 4th. On to the next suggestion!!! Thanks again for so many tips. I just don't think about the Internet. (Guess it's my advanced age.) I will try the suggested sites. :paw:
