Where do you buy your scrubs?

Where do you buy your scrubs?

I'm starting my first LPN job soon and I need to buy some scrubs.. Where do you buy yours? What's considered a reasonable price for scrubs?

See if there are any uniform stores in your area. They typically offer a discount for both students and local employees (like 10%-15%). I have noticed differences in price among different stores. You can also check out allheart.com, that's where I usually order my stuff.

Find a local uniform store in your city of residence that sells scrubs. Also, places such as Walmart and Burlington Coat Factory sell medical scrubs.

I also purchase scrubs online for the best price.

I buy almost exclusively from Smart Scrubs | Nursing Scrubs, Medical Scrubs, Uniforms and Accessories . A little pricier than most, but they WEAR LIKE IRON and have the most interesting prints. What I really like is that all the prints have a graphic of what solid color pants they match. You know how sometimes you can't tell if the print has navy / black / brown in it? They make it so easy to match things.

I use to go to Uniform Advantage. But then I discovered Scrub Pro Uniforms at the local Flea Market so I buy all my scrubs there now! I pay only 23.99 for Grey's Anatomy vs the 29.99 some places sell them for. ? I got two sets today (top + bottom) plus two long sleeve under shirts for only $100.

I bought a very cute S.C.R.U.B.S. jacket for $8 at a local discount store the other day. I had never worn that brand before. Thanks for the link--they carry them.

If money is no object, and you are hard to fit, try Sassyscrubs.com They basically custom make scrubs for you. They are pricier then most of the other online stores, but not much worse than the local uniform stores. I am short and fat, and maternity scrubs were impossible for me to find. I ordered 3 sets of maternity scrubs from Sassy Scrubs, and they were wonderful. Very hard wearing. If I ever get pregnant again, they are still in great shape for me to wear. You choose the style, where the pockets go, how many pockets, length and size. And they have a HUGE selection of fabric.

Go to the thrift stores. Wash them well first

Uniformadvantage.com You can get tops and pants there that are less than $10 each. Also, they carry petite and tall, even in their plus sizes. We have two local uniform stores, both are pretty pricey. Most of their stuff is $25 plus per piece, so an outfit is going to cost well over $50, plus their choice in sizes is limited. They do offer discounts for locally employed nurses. You can find scrubs at Walmart, but I'm not a fan. They feel too stiff to me.
