I have been wondering a couple of days now when the visa bulletin for August will be released?
It usually comes out around the 11th every month.

They are really running late. It was suppose to be released last week as they traditionally do at that time of the month but it is expected anytime really soon.
There maybe some significant announcements that they will be attaching to it as a result of the recent 'Visa Bulletin fiasco'.
I just hope it will be fair to all, esp. to those undergoing Consular Processing and to those who have pending cases whether it be from the Adj. of Status route or the CP route.

I thought all available visas were used up so nothng to look forward to till the October bulletin or did I miss something? :sofahider
well you never know until the bulletin is released i suppose
Lost Stranger, you are correct. There are no more new visas released until October when the new fiscal year starts.
Many are interested to see if there is any progression in the PD date. But if visas are not available and the recapped ones have been assigned already, do not expect to see anything that will benefit any of the nurses here. If they already have an interview scheduled, then they have a visa number assigned to them. That is why I keep repeating that no one should try to change their interview date.

To add to that, you'll never know whether it's going to be changed at any time or not, or whether if it's going to be followed or not(hence no guarantees). I'm not sure if there are laws in the USA that can protect people with regards to the visa bulletin, the way I see it, there is nothing one can do when they decide even if it is "unfair".
Again, the contention is, many if not all would want to immigrate to the USA and there is a "disclamer" that says: "As is, where is. Subject to change without prior notice." By choosing to immigrate, you are subjecting yourself to USA rules, hence everything is their call. Nothing you can do but follow, if you do not agree to the terms, their terms, then you just cancel your application(without refunds or anything like that).
One-sided it may be, but that is how the world is. There is no perfect country. The only perfect place is in God's kingdom.

E. AUGUST EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY
All Employment-based preference categories are "Unavailable" for August. At this time, it is uncertain whether any numbers will be returned and can be reallocated at a future date. Until informed otherwise, all readers should assume that the categories will remain unavailable until October, which is the beginning of the new fiscal year.

it is out with a capital U attached to it. However it is good news to those applying for AOS. they are going to honor the june12 VB wherein all categories are currrent and they have until aug 17 to file AOS with no increase on fees.what about CP???

I think the Aug VB is just good for thos applying for AOS, they'll be able to apply EAD's and other stuff. It doesn't mean that they'll get approval and have a GC.The recapped visas I think are already allocated to some CP and AOS cases and was exhausted in June 2007.
