When Do You Start Fall Semester?

My Fall Semester at my Georgia school starts Monday, August 20th, and I'm in my last week of solitary relaxation (my kids started school this past Monday the 13th). I was curious to see if there's a big difference in start dates in different areas. Care to play? Where are you and what is (was) your Fall Semester start date?

I started today, in NC, and it was so much information. We were given 3 hours to go over the policies, calendar and syllabus for nursing school. We officially dive right in on August 20th

I apologize for the stupid question I'm about to ask but, are we suppose to wear scrubs during our lecture or lab classes? I have my uniform for clinicals and not really excited to wear it, if you catch my drift lol

But for our first day of lectures on the 29th is regular clothes acceptable?

At my school for orientation we has to wear professional dress the first 2 days.

For normal lecture after orientation we could wear whatever we wanted. For Lab days and practice our instructors prefer scrubs if you have them, but if not, pants/ jeans (no shorts) and always closed tore shoes. A lot of us, when we are feeling particularly lazy, will wear scrubs to lecture, just because they are the easiest:/most comfortable thing to choose to wear. Lolz!

I am in Kansas and I start on the 20th as well!!!! I am finishing up pre-reqs and I don't think I've ever been so excited for school before!!

I'm in Michigan and my cohort starts September 4. We were already given chapters to read, so I'm reading now and taking notes.

It's so interesting to see that the part of the country or world you're in has no bearing on semester start date. I wondered if it was a regional thing. Good luck to everybody this semester!
