When to apply for nursing school?

I would check with each school. All of the schools I'm interested in have explicit application procedures/deadlines listed on the school's website under the college of nursing section.

As early as possible. That doesn't mean that you'll get picked first, but it does help. Plus it's better to be early than late.

Oh, and tell them what they want to here. I know that sounds bad, but it works, and hopefully what you want personally is what they want to here... Maybe I should just shut up..

I depends on how the application process goes at the school(s) you are interested in. If they accept apps now for when you want to start then apply now, especially if it is a first come first serve type of deal. Do you still have to do pre req like A&P I and II Micro etc...? If you have to wait to apply then you could take all the pre req's firs then apply, that might increase you chance of getting accepted to, having most of all of the pre req's out of the way. Also if anyone in the MA area knows... I thought Boston University had a nursing program.. I was looking at the curriculum today.. Am i wrong?

I just looked up Boston University's programs online, and while they have a variety of schools including medicine and public health, they don't have nursing. You can see that for yourself though!

Here it goes, I've already taken A+P1 and got an A in the class..very proud to say, im taking sociology A+P 2 and Microbio this semester...Could I apply to certain schools now still for fall 07 nursing program' even though i havent finished them all yet? I will finish all of my requirments after this year.

Most BSN programs around here let you apply for the program after you have completed 40 credit hours, but must have the full 60 completed (general ed and nursing pre-reqs) before actually starting the program. So for example our Fall 2007 application deadline is January 15th, 2007. So you can apply then while still taking Spring 2007 and/or Summer 2007 courses as long as they are all completed by fall. If you are taking them now then you will be finished before 2007 gets here so you should be fine! Also your state should have a board of nursing with all the state approved nursing programs listed out. Also, core curriculum varies from school to school. Even though you think you have all of your general education credits out of the way, it wouldn't hurt to check. The school I'm going to, for example, requires a clinical math/medical terminology class and a communications course before you can apply.
