What's the weirdest baby name?

Specialties Ob/Gyn Nursing Q/A

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

I have one I believe to be one of the best. There was a black woman who had twin boys. She named one Orangejello(or on jello) and the other Lemonjello(lem on jello):nono:

My husband sold cars for a while when he was looking for another job. One of the last names of one of the other car salesmen was Keyes. Anothers last name was Carr. I thought that was sort of neat.

I went to shool with a girl named Sandy Beach. We have an OB/GYN whose last name is Gass. I would have to change mine!!

There is a Dr. Krisp at Vanderbulit in Nashville. He works at the Burn unit!!

Regarding the wacky names people give to their kids, it is funny reading them, but I think those parents should be shot for making their kids have to go thru life with those kinds of monikers!!

When my husband was in public school one of his teachers names was Mrs. Duck. Named her son Donald . :roll Poor kid.

I heard that a set of twins, a boy and a girl, were named Herschel and Candace Barr..That's right- Hershey and Candy Barr for short.

I worked in a newborn nursery for 12 years and there were and infant named,

Amber Rose Gold that's the first, middle and last name.

Okay I do not work in maternity but I know a few nurses that do. I asked some of them if they had heard of any strange names and they began stating quite a few. One in particular that stood out was...Are you ready for this...

"Sprokette"

Why on earth someone would name their little GIRL Sprokette is way beyond me. They must own an auto shop and really love cars to name their baby this one!

Another one I found amusing was "Dusty Sprinkle"! What on earth were they thinking about...??????

OMG! These kids better know how to take name calling! Poor little kids.

What ever happened to names like Susie or Becky or Bobbie or Davie??????

Oh yeah -- and my husband has a relative (distant -thank God) who named her daughter Nicole -- but spelled it Nickhole. Imbecile.
