Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
There is a family in our community and the three of the kids' names are: Praise the Lord, Kilo and Champagne.

Cousins, no doubt, of Glory Bea?
URBAN MYTH
Now, is this someone's name or are you referring to some of the names mentioned in this thread?
Oh, well, I suppose it's better than Urban Mithter :smackingf
Mom's name, not baby's: Candida.

I am *so* naming my child Urban Myth!
We had an elderly (in her 80's) patient named Baby.
I don't know if her parents just weren't bright, if she wasn't expected to live past infancy, or if they had no ability to plan for the future whatsoever.

I actually have known three (3!) different women by the name of Baby over the course of my years. One was from Mexico, one from Pakistan, and one whose parents were from India. Apparently it's not just a nickname..........
Nobody puts Baby in a corner.....
