Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
I once worked in new baby registry and we had the following odd names:ABCDEF - Pronounced Absideff (She said she wanted her baby to be first in school alphabetically)
TrueLuv - (Ohhh Teen Pregnancy)
We had Triplets named
Q-Trail
R-Trail
S-Trail
I guess it was inspired by lord of the rings somehow.. I dunno.
Minerva. That sounds like a birth control brand
I guess the mother of "ABCDEF" forgot to consider that names in school are alphebetized by LAST name! And even if they were done by first name, every "Aaron" will still be ahead on the list......
"Amiracle" (pronounced Uh-Miracle)..and...
"La-A" (pronounced Luh-DASH-Uh)
Seriously people???
I've actually seen a couple of La-A's.
My personal favorites:
Sean...pronounced D'Sean...Mom said the D is invisible
aaaaannnnddd...
Forreal...yes it was pronounced For Real...the doc said it was a good thing she got a tubal or ForSure would be next...LOL
J-Lo's real name is Jennifer Lopez...[/quote :DOh, gosh-gosh-gosh, I already knew that. I was implying the J-el-LO was secretly her name. Not really all that funny, eh?

Followed by For Cryin' Out Loud! With the exclamation point.
well Aaron is going before her alphabetically (parent with the child name ABCDEF) and MOST, almost all schools begin with last name...lol...are you kidding me?!?!?!?
rngaltx, what if the childs last name began with T. would the parent name the child ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRS? Seriously? lol
I remember when I was in 5th grade...I am 23y now. There was a student named, Seteretabosni.

Besides - the child's FIRST name was supposed to be pronounced "Ab-si-def." No mention of the patient's last name was made.

Seems we think alike - check back a page!
