What's the weirdest baby name?

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

Or Butthole Surfers. ;)

At least little Metallica can go by "Allie."

You are a riot! What a hardy laugh ( I needed that....THANX!):D:lol2::clown:

Regarding animal names: Last night, I saw a TV show about husband and wife (possibly serial) murderers Benjamin and Erika Sifrit. They had pythons named Bonnie, Clyde, Hitler, and HIV.

Hi,

I just had to comment on this! This thread has made me feel SO much better about my name! My name is Secret. Yes, it's really my name. No, I'm not keeping it a secret....lol. I was born at Charity hospital in New Orleans in 1981, and my mom told me that when she was in the room with another woman after giving birth, and the woman said that she was naming her child after a book in the bible. She named her Psalmv. Pronounced pa sal me v. Also, I went to high school with a girl named Stormy(first) Monday (middle). Thanks for all the laughs! :lol2:

My old college professor told me she knew of a set of twins that attended the school named...Orangejello and Lemonjello. Pronounced "o-RON-jello and Lim-ON-jello. Maybe that's what she craved, IDK. LOL

I'm not a L&D nurse yet... but I do have a cousin who named her baby Felony. And believe me we all tried to talk her out of it!

I think:

#1 - If all the mythical "Lemonjellos" and "Orangelos" actually existed, then about 25% of the total population of twins in this country would be saddled with those monikers......the first time I heard that one was about 20 years ago, scrubbing with an OB-Gyn Resident and the attending, both from IU School of Medicine in 1991, and have continued to hear/see them recounted by a significant variety of occupations in several states.....

#2 - The oddest twins names with which I have had direct personal contact (I scrubbed and assisted the C-section that delivered them about 1995) has been "Levi" and "Garret" - in combination, the name of a very old and popular CHEWING TOBACCO.....:rollseyes:

#3 - The best twins names I have come across, heard directly from the mother and her nurse when I scrubbed a procedure for her, is "Melody" and "Harmony"! Gotta love such beautiful names for two beautiful little girls!

Does anybody actually KNOW, personally, an adult real-life person named any ONE of the jello flavors?....And I mean with "jello" attached, not just a fruit name. Like, "Hi, I am Raspberryjello Jones" .And now that I'm wondering.....What is J-LO's real, I mean REAL name!;)
