What's the weirdest baby name?

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

The secretary doing the birth certificate questioned her about the middle name, asking her if she realized what it sounds like...yep, she did. thought it was funny. Wouldn't change the name. This is truly a form of child abuse.

The wierdest names I came across were what my old neighbour named his sons. He named them, Ramses, Triton, and Maximus. Not sure what made them come up with these names.

It looks like the dad is either an Old Testament reader or he is into old Egyptian names.

I've never worked L&D but I do remember a "Porcelain Bidet" and a "Female" pronounce famali. Oh, and Twins called "Tequila" and "Taqueria" pronounced taquila and takeria. Got to love those teenage moms!

Wow! I just saw a girl named "Le-a". Her name is not pronounced Lea, Leah or Lia. It is pronounced "Ledasha." Mom says the "-" is not silent???

I have a good friend whose name is Jocola...Her fathers name is Joe and right after she was born her mother only wanted a Coke so she mushed it together and got Jocola...I also go to church with a couple who have quite a few children and chose to name them with biblical names...AND BELIEVE ME THEY SEARCHED...so they have Abraham, Benjamin, Calvery, Delilah, Elisabeth, Felix, and they they have GAMAYA!!! So I ask Aleshia after she brings her home why they didnt use a "G" bible name and she says to me, "I did!!! You know like Sodom and Gamaya!!!" It took everything I had not to just burst out laughing!! And now they just resently welcomed fraternal twins Hazel and Isaac! I wonder if they are trying to go to the alphabet??!!
