Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
heard a great one today, do not know if it already made the list
Young lady named Tueasy (pronounced too easy)
Really old post, but this stuff never gets old...Im from NY so crazy names are the norm around here:
Female pronounced, FEE maly mom thought the hospital named her daughter.
Treasure Palace
Sterling Silver
Fardy
Yeastrid
Ufuk
Funny, but very sad for these poor kids
I think the best I ever heard had to be.....La-a.....pronounced...La-Dash-a...because the dash isn't silent!
I worked for a family practice as an LPN before getting my RN. A new family came in and they had 2 children. I swear to you their names were Sevyn and Nyne. I just wish I knew what happend to One through Syx, and Eyght!

Chevy (in its various spellings) is becoming a more and more popular girl's name here in the Midwest.
Hello there!
This thread is absolutely HILARIOUS!
I have heard some crazy names but nothing compares to this one!
So my roommate & I went to a seminar in England for Obstetrics.
Mind you everyone in England is very uptight.
So we arrive at the seminar and there is a board of OB/GYN's
The 3rd doctor stood up & said...
"Good Afternoon, I am Dr. Lord Papsmeayer (pronounced Lord Papsmear)"
My roommate & I just couldn't hold our laugh in! It was beyond funny!
However, they found it so normal.
