What's the weirdest baby name?

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

Maybe lemonjello and orangejello is an urban legend. I have a friend who was a friend to this mother of twins who named her sons that.

The craziest name I heard was Meconium. Poor mom couldn't speak English and just loved the way it sounded and insisted when the nurses tried to explain

The other day I saw a name in the vital statistics that just hurt all over: Barryl Chest. (He also had a brother named Darryl.)

Working for awhile in the postpartum unit a few years back, I found that it was usually the folks from out in the sticks who came up with the most unusual names. I took care of this one little girl, about 19 or 20, who must have been raised by ex-hippies because she named her baby Sunflower MorningGlory Brown. Just think how much that child's gonna love THAT name when she's a teenager..........

I have a friend whose name is : Tidy. That is her birth name. She always got the nickname Tidy Bowel. Sad!

we had a JERYK (how often will that be mistaken for or deliberately changed to JERK), and a DEJA on our floor last night. Don't know what the hell folks are thinking. SHEESH to have to grow up w/names like that.

In the obit column this last week were a set of twins. How sad they both died. Their names were Little Green and Fish Green. :rolleyes: Imagine the mom yelling out the door "Little,Fish Time to come in now!"

We have a doctor named, wait for it....

Elvis Seamen !! HONEST! He's a... you guessed it,

he's a gynacologist / obstetrician!!

And a nicer bloke you'd never meet, he's a true gentleman.

One of our union reps is named... Teri Daktyl!

I don't know if this is Teri's real name or she's just calling herself that. Got a good sense of humour I guess!!

we have a doctor named Dr Faucker and I've heard comments from some of the nurses who said "ok" he's not too hard on the eyes but some of our nurses get carried away when we get busy they just get crazier or when we have nothing to do too...guess that's all the time they are carried away :)

I used to work as a bill collector, and we saw some horrible names. One of the worst was a Vietnamese lady (always past due so we called her all the time), and her name was spelled Fukh. When we called her we would always try to be polite and ask for "Fook", at which point she would scream at us "I tell you people every time you call it's pronounced F*****!"

I knew of a family whose last name was Wolf, and they named their sons Timber and Gray.

My parents are conservative Mennonites (huge families) and we have friends - her name is Valerie, his name is Veasey, they have nine children and they are named Verlin, Vance, Vonda, Violet, Vern, Veldon, etc (I can't even remember them all!).

I knew of a mom of triplets that named her babies :

"Aayye"---after being called baby "A" in utero

"Bea".... and

"Cee"......She said that after calling them that for so long she could imagine calling them anything else!!
