Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
I grew up living next to the Rabbit family. Believe it or not, The dad was Peter, wife was Helen and yes...the 3 kids were Peter, Jr, Jack and Bunny. I went to school with Jack who got beat up almost every day from K-12th grade. :-)
I once had a woman whos last name was Seeman, she named her baby Richard. Not so weird. That is until I found out the baby's nickname was going to be Dick. Dick Seeman. I feel bad for that poor kid when he grows up.

Meh, my dad's name was Dick, and our last name was the slang word used for a particular part of male genitalia, He thought it was hysterically funny, though of course as kids, WE were mortified.
You never know what people will be sensitive about.
Last year, I had a woman who had twin boys. I don't like to this out, but she was black. Their kids were named Orangejello and Lemonjello. They were pronounced "orran-gel-owe and lem-awn-gel-owe".
One of my good friends helped deliver a baby later named Shithell. Poor child...
Michelle!

On a whim, I just googled them. There are 5,860 entries! But alas, not a picture of the pair.

If it were spelled and pronounced "Sheetell" or "Shettell" it would be okay...
Funny story:
In the Jewish faith, when a boy is bar mitzvah'd, the Rabbi refers to him as Master...and then the last name. The boy I knew that was bar mitzvah'd had the last name of Bader.
You put it together...
There was a patient in the hosptial whose name was Extrafine
I went to MA school with a Latabia. That sometimes made for comical moments with substitutes or on the first day with new teachers.
