Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
I would have to have my name changed to dickson or something. That is terrible. I feel sorry for people with those kind of names that make people snicker even though I am guilty of snickering. It is totally juvenile but I cant help but chuckle when I hear of someone with the last name Butz or Buttigan--real names--I have heard both.:rotfl:
How about Joey Buttafuco?
June Bugg and Ida Pigg.......honest!
hmm...there was a baby named God the other day. I didn't see this, but sure heard about it. the nurse that says "God was born on my birthday" or "Dr so-n-so delivered God".
Ponchetta..and Pronuncio a girl and guy I grew up with...:chuckle
Not a born name but my last name is Moa, when my brother adopted his son Lonnie he became.......Lon Moa
I knew someone who named her son Prophet.
I also met someone names Lovely and Heaven.
Twin girls- Syphyllis and Gonorrhea pronounced Sif-il'-is and Gone'-or-era. Lovely names.:chuckle
NOOOO WAY!
Went to school with a "Tomorrow". I asked her how she got her name...her parents were called over the telephone for the baby's name as she was discharged without a name. When the lady called, her mother said "Can we just name her tomorrow?" When they learned of the error they liked the sound of it and it stayed that way.
There is a little boy at my school where I work and his name is Maximus Smalls !
Not kidding.

Mary - and the surname was Virgin. True, true, I swear it's true.
Also, first name Corn, surname was Shuckk. I swear to God above that his family were moonshiners.
I have worked with people named Pharoah, Joseph, and Potiphar. On the same job!
Now all I need is to meet a Sonny, Fredo, and Connie. Get it?
