Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!
I had a friend that recently gave birth...a contest was held at the husband's work to pick out a name for the baby....keep in mind he works at a comedy club...the winner was...
Izzy Peek-a-boo
We thought he was joking...when they brought the baby home...apparently not.
3 sisters - Autumn, Summer, Winter
I hate to admit it...I kinda like that.
What about the craziest way you've seen a name spelled?? You can take a common name like Jane....and make it unique!!! Jaeyn...TADA!I've told my daughter its not Mommy....its Mohmee (Jk)
name my daughter Brittknee?
Jules
Actually, all my (motherly) life, my kids have spelled my name Mommee.
They still do and they're ages 23 through 27!
I knew of a young man named MacPassion many years ago. Wonder what ever became of him?
I knew a michel Lintz once . Michelenz tires
When I was growing up my little sister had a friend named Michelin. She said her dad had something to do with the tire company. But the company itself is named after its founders, the Michelin brothers, so it's a real name (French, I believe), even though it sounds weird to most of us.
I actually rather liked the names a patient of mine named her twins:
Kian (boy) and Marina (girl)

I love the name Kian, been thinking I will name my next that if its a boy.
I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 5 years and the weirdest names were "Orangejello" and "Lemonjello". Another one was Heven Leigh Flowers (heavenly flowers!!) Does make you wonder what people are thinking!!

Did you see these personally?
I ask because the names are part of a very popular urban legend that has been around for at least 20 years. Maybe the legend has become well-known enough that some dim bulb decided to go ahead and make it come true.
I recently took care of twin girls named Heaven and Naveah.

:yeahthat: I'm getting so I can't almost read threads like these because if I see "lemonjello", "orangejello", or a baby named "female", I'm gonna tear my hair out.
Although rn/writer has a good point. Maybe some dimwit out there from this country has heard the legend and decided to make it come true. Wouldn't surprise me.
