What's the weirdest baby name?

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

The name was "Africa" ... which is lovely and fine ... but, it was pronounced "Ah-Freak-Ah."

Shlomo is Hebrew for Solomon. It's a fairly common name.

OK: here are a few, Semaj (James backward), L'oreal, twins named Luke & Laura (after characters on General Hospital) Nevaeh (heaven backwards), Dial (after the soap), Elvis Presley (on the day Elvis died), which wouldn't have been bad but the last name was Dick !!!!!

I went to my friends graduation a few years ago at McKendree College in Lebanon, IL and there was a girl graduating that day with the name Jekyll Ann Hyde (as in Jekyll & Hyde) She totally goes by the name Jekyll Ann. Wierd

I actually knew Jekyll Ann Hyde, the same one you are referring to!! She was my son's first grade teacher in Freeburg, IL (about 25 miles from McKendree), and is a wonderful teacher!!! She has a great sense of humor about her name, too -- her car license plate is DR JEK. And for the record, she married the gym teacher, and her name is now Jekyll Ann Hyde Schultz.

I went to high school with a girl named lady parts. Everyone said it was pronounced Vah-geena similar to Regina. I don't care it's spelled lady parts. v-a-g-i-n-a ...lady parts. LOL. Poor lady parts .
