8 weeks left of the semester!!

Today:

Theory from 3-5: Neural Tube birth defects & child & Adolecent mental illness

Tuesday:

Theory from 3-5: Another two hours on writing a professional nursing paper :uhoh3:

Wednesday: 1st day at Med Surg clinical (Chronic Illness) it's at a VA hospital - I'm told we're giving Flu shots that day.

Thursday: 2nd day at Med Surg Clinical

Friday - no school! Halloween Party! Yee ha! I'm sure I'll need the break! :rotfl:

I've got to finish my second term paper for the semester - due next Monday.:o

today concepts lecture on pharm 2-4 w/ metrology drug final

tues fundamentals lecture 8-12 w/unit exam

wens parenteral med check off 9:45 am

and thats it! we were supposed to give flu shots this week, but that got cancelled! :rolleyes:

I actually just took my last final in nursing school last Friday!!!

My schedule this week consists of the preliminary stages of organizing our Senior Night and Senior portraits.

I am living proof....It DOES end!!!

9 weeks to graduation!!!

this week is gonna be a rough one for me...well just tomorrow actually.

Tues: Fundamentals 8-11:20 - Unit Exam and Midterm covering 25 ch.

Pharmacology 12-2:10 - Midterm covering 8 Chapters

Wed:Body Structure- 8-12 - Unit Exam- 4 chapters

Thurs: Clinicals 6:30-4 Nursing Home

Mon- Comminication test( got a 97 on it)5-6 then legal and ethical aspects lecture 6:30-8... then Health career core 8-10

Tues- Legal and Ethical lecture from 5:30-6:30 Health career core from 7-10

Wed- Basic Nutrition and nutritional therapy from 5:30-8:00 Health career core from 8-10

Thurs- Legal and ethical test from 5-6, health career core/ A&P from 6:30-10

WOW I am going to be busy!!!:eek:

Monday 5:30p-8:15p~ Lecture in Philosophy (turned into Political Activism)

Tuesday 12:30-3p~ Nursing Disciplines class

Wednesday 5:30-8:15p~ Race and Ethnic Relations (hard, hard, HARD class!)

Thursday 1p-4:30p~ Test in Health and Wellness

In between, keep laundry done for 7 people, take care of a house and 2 sick children, 4 dogs (which include 2 Great Danes, one of which is a pup who LOVES to wrestle...) and worry about how bills are going to keep caught up with my hours being cut at work....

My week looks something like this:

Monday

4-6p Quiz on Vascular and Thyroid D/O, followed by lecture on Vascular

6-7p Presentation by classmates on Delegation and Responsibility in my Management and Professional Issues class

Tuesday

3p Midterm Eval with my instructor

4-6p Lecture on Thyroid D/O

6-??? Patient research at the hospital (only 3 so far!)

Wednesday

7a-3p Clinical

We start our management rotations this week, so we all get to play Nurse Manager for a bit, should be interesting.

Thursday

7a-3p Clinical

SSDD

Friday

Day off...but still need to study for exam next week and put together a teaching plan and a FINAL care map(woohoo!)

It's a pretty low-key week, all things considered. :)

Edit: Whoops, almost forgot, I have to fit a parent teacher conference in Thursday night. :p

this week is easy for me...only one class! next week I have to start studying for our 2nd batch of tests (november 10 + 11). i'm currently working on my major essay and my health project!

i'm enjoying the quiet time right now though!

Monday is now a moot issue but it was my final OB clinical.

Today (Tuesday) I met with my presentation group to tighten things up and had my clinical eval for OB.

Wednesday: lecture on anxiety (is this a joke???:chuckle)

skills lab on IV therapy

Thursday: Regular exam;

Presentation on Breastfeeding;

OB Caps exam

Catch a plane outta here at 6:50 pm.

Friday through Sunday: I'm in Pittsburgh leaf peeping.
