whats the procedure after NCLEX?

I am from the UK and have taken my NCLEX today here in London, it shut off after 75 questions, which means I have passed or Failed!! Those who sit the NCLEX in the States can obvioulsy view their results on line after 48hrs. If I am correct as we sat the NCLEX here in England we will have to wait a dreaded 4 weeks to get our results. But I am right in thinking, that there is a way of knowing earlier if you have passsed, and that is to look on the States Board of Nursing that you applied to and you can see if they have issued you a licensure to practice? Is this correct, and has anyone been in this situation, and how long did it take for the BON to issue you a licensure? I think 4 weeks is a long time to wait, just to find out you have failed. Any suggestions/advice welcome.

I believe you can find out earlier than 4 weeks, I am not sure how but I took in london and found out in 2 days, my agency contacted me at that time.

Hi :)

I did my NCLEX in London and got my result online from the Pearson website 2 days later. If your Board of Nursing is one which participates in the quick results, you can get your result in 2 days.......if I remember correctly, I think you pay a fee of £7.95 by credit card to Pearson to access your result.

And good luck, hope you've passed :)

CA is the only one that makes you wait the three to four weeks if you do not have a SSN#. And even with the SSN# in CA, the wait can be any where from three days to a month.

Some states actually have the license posted before the nurse even returns home.

I took my test in London and by the time I got home to wales my license number was up on the Az BON site due to the time difference I had actually pass befor I had even sat the test LOL :lol2:
