If you've ever taken this personality test, what was your type? What speciality of nursing are you in? I'm a student considering the ER and am an INFJ.

Very true extroverts probably aren't spending a lot of time on the internet! The biggest difference between introverts and extroverts is in how you re-charge. Introverts can be just as personable, pleasant, and certainly can have friends and enjoy being with other people. After a point, however, they need to retreat to their own place to read, watch TV, play with their pets, read blogs on the internet, etc., and be away from people to reset themselves. Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from being around other people in social settings.-INTJ all the way. Nursing educator and in the military.

Very true....I'm an INFJ and find over-socialization draining. I would go nuts without my "me time".
ISTJ! Does anyone know their enneagram as well? #3 on that ?
Never heard of that.....mind explaining?
Thanks :)

I am an INTP. I work in acute physical rehabilitation.
I had been an INFP for the longest, but as I have gotten older the 'F' (feeling) dimension has gradually changed to a 'T' (thinking).
Never heard of that.....mind explaining? Thanks :)
Nevermind......I Googled it and took the test. I'm a #5

That's what is happening to me...last time I took it I was right on the edge between the T and F.

INFJ - oncology. I sometimes end up with INFP depending on the test, but the INFJ is more accurate.

INFJ. Just a student, and will take whatever job will have me, but I am drawn to peds, L&D, NICU, hospice, school nursing. Not really interested in ER or surgery.

I did my Master's thesis based on this concept, trying to determine if certain personality traits led to nursing as a career, and if certain traits within that group led to choosing one speciality over another (ER vs.Pedi for instance). I learned that most nurses have guardian traits and we are basically nurturing our nature. I still like to read about his type phenomena

Student, ENTJ, Type 7 with 8 and 5 wings. Most interested in community health and ED or ICU.
As an ENTJ, I am always the odd one out. :)
