Just thought I'd start a thread about the classes all of us will be taking this Fall... maybe we can start our sticky support groups early. Lol... j/k. I am really excited though.:w00t:
I am taking:
Freshmen Writing Composition (aka: Writing for Special Topics)
College Algbra:stone
Biological Science I w/ lab:roll
Introduction to Sociology:yeah:
How about you?
Thats great! What do I need to expect from A&P1? I am taking that this fall 2007, along with English 2.
If I remember correctly...at my school API was learning all the bones, cellular division:mitosis and mieosis, the skull...which has fissures and foremen, etc., body movements(adduction, abduction, etc), body posistions( atomic, supine, etc.), and i think all the muscles..which was hard for me to learn for some reason.
I ended up passing the lecture and lab with a "B"
But API is easier than APII because it goes further in depth with the different organ systems.
hope that helps a little;)
This fall I am taking the following:
A&P II
Micro
Psych - Lifespan Human Dev. (this one is online)
I have the A&P and micro on Tues and Thurs. I go from 8am - 2:30pm, but I do get two 15 minute breaks and then a 45 minute break.
I am taking A&P I right now in summer. It is 8 weeks long and we are halfway done. So far it has been very easy, just time consuming. But I have had 2 semesters of college Biology before that I mad A's in, so most of this is just a review for me. Plus I was in Biology Honors in high school and have taken medical terminology. If I did not have such a strong background I think it would be really tough. I say it is easy but then again I do spend around a minimum of 3 hours studying everyday and that includes the weekends.
I had to go get my counselor to register me for A&P II because I couldn't register online since I had not finished the pre-req of A&P and she told me that I am very brave for taking both A&P II and micro together this fall. But I am not worried. I know that I can do it. My mom is a nurse and she and I are just alike and she said that micro was so easy. I am married but don't have any kids and I work from home so I have tons of time to study. I think it just depends on one's circumstances and how bad they want it.
After this fall I will be done with my pre-reqs. But for the spring I am going to take statistics because even though it is not required to start at my college I know that I will need it. I am just ready to apply and get things rolling. I hate not knowing where I am going to go to school. I am applying to 2 BSN schools and 3 ADN programs.
