When I started my pre-reqs in sp 05' I hadn't been in school in...18 yrs. If I can do it and get accepted to N.S. anyone can! I will also be taking N.S. classes this Fall, Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharm. I believe our first clinical rotation is Med/Surg. I worked there as a CNA so this will be fun. I may even be at the hospital I worked at, it would be great to see some friends I haven't seen since Nov. of 06' when I quit ( for school the load was too much with both).:balloons:
I'll be starting brand new..I can't wait!!So I'll be taking....
Sociology
Algebra
Speech
Humanities
Reading
and a computer class online thats only a month long..
I haven't been in school in over 6yrs...so support is what I need too!

nur131 physical assessment 2 hrs
nur151 basic concepts of nursing 3 hrs
total credit hours this semester a wonderful 13.
i had clinical micro i and ii, when i went to become a lab technician..so that should be a pretty easy "a"..at least i am hoping it will be. please, please, please...lol.
i wish you all the best. i am reading a book about going to nursing school and maybe even love it. i can't remember the exact name, but it is a book by former students for current or want to be students.
:welcome: paula
I'll be taking:
Organic Chemistry
Physiology
Statistics
Sociology
Psychology
I may end up dropping psychology if work and school ends up being to challenging. This is my last semester of pre-reqs, and I have a previous C in psychology from many many years ago. I just wanted to take it again to get an A...
This is my first post! :)
I've got a year of college under my belt, and most of my basic classes out of the way. My first year was as a criminal justice major.. this will be my first year as a pre-nursing student.
This smester scares me. I'll be going to school 23 hours a week! Yikes! My CNA classes start August 7th-October 2nd. My regular college classes start August 20th-Decemeber 14th! I'll be taking..
Biology (I'm supposed to have the best Science teacher in the school so I'm looking forward to this)
College Study/Survival Skills (I figured this would come in handy for nursing school)
Human Growth and Develompent
Child Psychology (I plan on becoming a pediatric nurse so I figured this would be a good elective)
Good luck yall!!! I'm sure I'll be here to vent once classes start! :)

I'm taking a big whopping 4 credits!
Intermediate Algebra
For those of you taking math for the first time in like forever, don't worry so much. I was afraid too, because my first round in math 15 years ago I didn't do so well and this time I more than aced it. I got a 101.03% in pre alg. I just loved learning this time around and it made a big difference. Plus, it helped that I need to make top grades to get into nursing, so it was a great first step to stay on top of it.
