What will YOU do with your first "real" paycheck!?

Published

as inspired by another thread, here's a motivational question! i guess this is more of a question for those of us who haven't had a real career before nursing....

what will you do with your first "real" paycheck?

i'm going straight to the salon. new cut, highlights, facial, mani, pedi...the works!

then, straight to the mall with my plastic because for the first time in my life it won't be just for "emergencies" anymore!

i can't wait!

Get a real hair cut that isn't from a Cheap O Cuts salon.

Hey, some peoples paychecks might be as low as $2000, but you don't know their financial situation. Some may not have rent to pay or loans to pay off. We can all dream as big as we want. Just don't say you're going to buy a mansion. Lol I pretty much make as much now as I expect to make on my first few checks but the expenses of school and day care might be out the window when that happens!

Well I get my first check as a c.n.a. on the 9th and finish lpn school in 7 weeks. With that check I will, pay my car note, buy Gain laundry detergent, get my children something nice, tune up and oil change for car. and catch up on bills. After those are taken care of, I'll get a treadmill, and save for my new wardrobe, buy the kids back to school things and start Christmas shopping. Of course put some up for black Friday

...buy Gain laundry detergent...

LMAO! You gotta love the little things! I LOVE Tide with Downy, but I can't justfify spending 25.00 for laundry detergent right now :(

I can't wait until I can use the fancy stuff again.

Couponing helps SO much!

@Toya your post made me smile and lol! "That Gwap!" Lol I hear ya though.

Well...by then HOPEFULLY I'll already have a house. If not, its going towards a down payment.

I'll probably budget it like I do everything else.

If we are good financially and some of it is "extra" money...I'd put some in a savings account or CD for Rachel's college.

I'd like to go to the movies, it is SUCH a waste of money but I miss it!

Psh, you'll have to pry my Tide out of my cold, dead hands!

I'm pretty frugal as a rule, but some things I've learned aren't worth compromising on. Like toilet paper. And trash bags. And meat.

Well that's true. I knew a girl when I was younger who had serious anal and lady partsl bruising from wiping too hard with harsh toilet tissue

I just stocked up on a years supply of tide, favorite toilet paper, etc at a wholesale store for all my non-perishable must haves.
