Thirty-five percent say Trump’s endorsement has no impact on them while 16 percent say it makes them less likely to support a candidate.

Actually, I'm gobsmacked that there are still this many that are swayed by Mr. Trump.

Is there that many?  49%, of Republicans, in Texas of all places, are "more likely" to be swayed.

Based on the talk here, you would think with all the "cultists" and those "brainwashed" by the propaganda of Tucker Carlson and the like, I would have expected the number ( and not just "more likely " ) would be much higher.

So, you don't find it concerning that Mr. Trump can still influence the opinion of 49% of Texas Republicans?

I do.

"Influence"?  No concerns at all.  I can listen to what he says, and decide what is right and what isn't.  He says a lot more good than what some choose to believe.

I wish he had some influence on the numbskulls in the current administration.

John Kerry yesterday was trying to appeal to Putin's concern for climate change.  Dear Lord, we're in trouble....SMH

You don't find it concerning that 49% of the political party you support could be considered gullible cult members, unduly influenced by a corrupt liar who incited a coup in an attempt to retain lost power?  Tucker Carlson does, in fact, sound very much like a propagandist ...especially when speaking about Trump or Russia.

It's actually remarkable that propaganda has influenced such a large percentage of the American population. The fact that that propaganda has those people ready to discard their democracy over lie based fears should be alarming for all Americans. IMV

That ability is not really in evidence here.  You believed Trump and Barr as related to the facts surrounding the Mueller report.  You didn't believe that Trump abused his power with his Ukrainian quid pro quo. You are skeptical of the importance or significance of the events, words and actions that resulted in the violence in January 6. It seems that you struggled a bit with determining what was right and what isn't in those instances.  IMV

Trump saying things that you or other sympathizers might find "good" isn't a balance for his dangerous corruption and unamerican ambitions. Every bad, dangerous or infamous political leader in history has had adoring sycophants and fan boys.

Trump has quite a bit of influence.  I am surprised it's 49%.  I would have thought it would have been maybe 33%.  Hatred for Biden is so strong they sift through his lies..."well he lied about this and that, but he says more good things that I believe in".

Crazy times.

I was listening to Fox News yesterday because I had spend quite a bit of time with a patient was watching it and it was in the background, so I didn't listen carefully but caught some of the highlights.  Some minor Republican congress person was being interviewed.  I think basically he was saying there wasn't much we could do and that Americans are not concerned about that border but the open border down south and the fentanyl crisis, and inflation and how the American people are suffering at home.

The interviewer wanted to get to insulting Biden and steer the conversation back to Ukraine and he ran with it, saying this is all Biden's fault and there was a reason they didn't attack during the Trump administration.

Trump was being interviewed and said basically the same thing.   That this wouldn't have happened it the election wasn't rigged.

@TweetyWho was that opinionated guy with bed head in the video? He seemed "worked up"...

What was important about what Trump said wasn't the "rigged election" comment.  It was that the invasion wouldn't have happened under his watch.  However, its Trump's fault for making comments that distract from what his important.

That fellow certainly has a interesting perspective on the interview.  He seems to have tapped into a audience based on the number of views and comments on his videos.

Anyway, he seems concerned that, in his view, Trump is uninformed and doesn't understand what is going on in Ukraine.  I think instead of this video, his time would have been better spent yesterday listening to Psaki and Biden's comments.

I looked him up...a Canadian historian. His "style" is not my cup of tea. Honestly, I found it hard to listen to.
