What do you think of these Alegria brand shoes?

Published

I am starting my first semester of nursing school in a month. I just got these shoes. I am shopping for the right shoes since I have metatarsal pain. I currently wear Birkenstock 3/4 length insoles with all my closed toe shoes. I want to wear proper shoes for clinical rotations. I've tried many Danskos and they don't fit me right. Anyway, do you think the mary jane style has enough protection? Someone mentioned to me that it might be dangerous in case I drop a syringe or something. I wouldn't want to stick myself in the foot. Here they are:

Thanks!

Hi,

I think the shoes are a great investment. I own a pair and I'm 35 weeks pregnant. works great. However you might want to invest in a pair of Ted Hose as well. They help with foot pain and swelling.

Awesome, thank you! Congrats to you as well!

i love them have 4-5 pair, and knee high compression socks a must

I have the all closed Algeria and I'm also in nursing school and they are awesome! I tripped and rolled my ankle with danskos.

It's a beautiful day to save lives.

I currently wear Alegria's exclusively - absolutely love them!

I have a pair of Alegria--clog style though. I LOVE them, but at my current job we're supposed to have closed backs or at least a strap on our shoes. I'm hanging onto my alegrias for future jobs though!

I love the Alegria Debra White Leather, it has a closed back. They're ugly, but the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and my feet have never hurt after clinicals. They sort of mold to your foot inside and the rocker type bottom takes off a lot of pressure.

Sockwells compression socks! They're a merino blend and they come in cute colors/patterns...no ache, no grandma legs:)

absolutly love them

I like how it fit. BUT after a year and a half, leather in side is torn apart at mybig toe and on the side (in side) at my pingie toe.

For price, I hope it last longer :(
