Thinking on re locating to Texas in the very near future, what's the market for school nurses looking like?

It really depends on the area and district you are looking at. Schools in the bigger cities pay nurses on the teacher's scale. Rural areas don't pay as well. Most districts require 1-2 years of experience but no additional certification is required. You really have to go to each district's website to find out their requirements. Good luck!!!
