As a student in nursing school I have had to learn creative ways to relieve my stress. So I am curious what do you do to help relieve all the stress?
Eat- Which is awful- I am a huge stress/study eater I have found out- I have packed on so many pounds- and it was interesting at the end of last semester I was like holy crap I gained 13 pounds- over the summer it was just magically gone- back to school and within 6 weeks it was back. I can't wait to have time to work out again- I work FT M-F 9a-5p, class & clinicals three nights a week till 10pm and clinical 10 hours on Sat. Sunday is time to see my three kids and clean my house, maybe wash some clothes for them. So I truly do not have the time or energy to workout right now. No not even 1/2 an hour a day. I'm always rushing from work to class and up till 1 or 2 studying, then up at 6a for work. & get the kids on the bus.- I'm so tired I'm so glad we are on Christmas break and I can sleep normal for three weeks. Sleep is my other stress reliever - and Tylenol- lot's of Tylenol for my headaches. The thought of going back to school again, my last semester, it is stressing me out just to think about. I can't wait for May to be here.
I eat chocolate, drink lots of hot tea and Pepsi, and go for really long walks.
I recently PCS-ed to El Paso, TX and the members from my old squad (when I was a civilian I was a SGT on the Rescue Squad - EMT) sent me a Christmas package. Inside that package was a small soccer ball and they named it "Nurse Baby Wilson". So now besides eating chocolate and drinking Pepsi and tea I can talk to Baby Wilson [for which my kids are eternally grateful, ha ha ha]

My friends call me the DJ. Im always blasting music. It helps calm me down. I go ride my bike on some trails too to help. Anything to just get my mind to wander really. Oh and x2 on the Call of Duty
