What is the passing test grade at your school?

Published

I was recently accepted to a nursing program where I learned that the passing test grade was a 78. Needless to say I can't stop thinking about this and it has me super nervous. I spoke to a friend of mine at a local universtity and his passing grade is 80 and but another friend of mine hers is only 70 at her NRSG school. I think what worries me the most are the post that say that nrsg school is so difficult and getting a C is an accomplishment. So this has made me even more worried.

So I am just curious what are the passing grades at your school? And is a 78 excessive or is this the norm in nursing school?

73, no rounding at my school.

77 at my school but they round up, which is nice. So if someone has a 76.5 they round up to 77, which has saved a few people's booties.

Ours was a 75 test avg...then still a 75 after everything else was avg in. The point was to not count on homework or papers/presentations to pull up our grade.

Passing at my school is 76.51. don't ask me why they put the .51 at the end.

my school doesn't round or give extra credit.

Ours is a 78. The grading scale is:

A-91-100,

B-90-84,

C-83-78

Not much wiggle room eh?:uhoh3:

No test at our school can be less than 75%. The teachers say they will work with you and you have to take it again. If you fail a module during a semester and can't make it up before the end, you will be dropped.

93-100 A

92-89 B

88-82C

Have to have C average. Had one class, prof made it 94-100 A 93 and below FLUNK

My school in Illinois is 78 percent wonder why there is a shortage of nurses!

80% and that is a C-

Anything lower and you're out of the program.

our school is 80. But realize when they say that getting a "c" is an accomplishment, they aren't talking about getting a 75% (because that is a failing grade). They're talking about getting an 85% (which is a 'C'). Just study hard and I'm sure you'll do fine

Mine is 70%, but I think it should be at least 75-80%.

my school is 78 % which is a 2.0. Anything under that you have to retake it.
