It doesn't matter what order you take them in. No, they do not build on each other. But if you are into OCD, it looks nicer on your transcript if they are listed in order. This was more so when they had the old names!
I'm very OCD at times so imagine my dismay when I saw that the list them just as you take them. Kinda bothered me ya know.
My order=General Eds->Health Safety->Chronicity->Repro->Transition->HDLS1-3 (still working on these 3)
No, it doesnt matter what order you do them in. But, for me, I decided to get Transitions out of the way and NOT do it last. So that would probably be my recommendation to you. Reasoning---it SOOOOO boring, dry, and monotonous studying for it. I decided that I wanted to be excited about my last exam, like "WOOHOO this is my last one", not "OMG this is so boring---ugghh!!!" Its all based on personal preference though, so good luck with your choices.

Pebbles...I did the same as Felicia, and I took transitions first because I had heard it was dry as a bone...And guess what? It was. I have all of my nursing theory classes down...under old curriculum, and I am working on gen. ed's. I enjoyed all of the NC's better than the gen.ed's...Oh well...It has to get done I guess. Best Wishes to you! Traci

I take my first EC exam (Health Safety) 6/26/09!!! I was wondering what order to take the rest of the exams. Does it matter? or do they build on each other? I was considering doing Chronicity next, then reproduction, life spans 1,2,3, and transitions last. I also have a few gen. eds but will take those while waiting for the CPNE date. Thanks for advise!
