I don't know, but they were rude to say it. If you actually care about their opinion, you are probably really hurt.
They might be talking about your appearance.
-How do you wear your hair? Does it suit your age?
-Do you wear clothes that fit you well? Baggy or really tight clothes make you look awkward.
-Are you confident? Awkward mannerisms make you seem immature.
That is all I can think of.
I don't think it is your behavior or personal style but perhaps your brace looks big on you. If you are petite you may look dwarfed by your brace... and they just mentally associated it with a child that is wearing something too large for them. I don't think they meant anything about the way you act at all, Datu.
I would be flattered, at this point in my life, if someone said that I looked like a big kid. American society tends to value youth, not old age.
I am 30 years old. I can recall feeling slightly annoyed last year when one of my elderly patients asked if my children were grown. For me to possibly have grown kids, I would have had to become pregnant at ages 9, 10, or 11.

2 of my coworker told to me that I look like a big kid... when I asked her she told me she can't explain it. Might be because of my brace that what she said. I'm really confused right now. Are they telling me I'm acting like a kid?
