Let's get some positivity flowing. We all entered this profession for a reason. What do you love about being a nurse?

I will go first: I love the confidence I feel when knowing I am doing he right thing for a patient.

Specializes in Acute Care Pediatrics.

Nursing has inspired me in so many different ways in my real life. Working with sick kids tends to make you reevaluate your life sometimes. I love that more often than not, I leave my shift learning something new.

1. Money

2. Flexibility

3. Getting people healthier to the point where they go home and accomplish something or turn their life around with better health choices. Rare but it happens.....or they get intubated again

My profession got me through the Great Recession. As a nurse.. I could ALWAYS find work.

I like the science. But most of all I really like the patient education. Eventually I would like to become an FNP, possibly get a MPH, and work in primary care or as a community/town nurse. I am really enjoying my experiences as a medsurg nurse but my passion is in preventive care and patient education, so that they don't end up in the hospital.

Specializes in Critical Care, ED, Cath lab, CTPAC,Trauma.

I love my patients...good and bad...I love my patients

I love the flexibility of the hours.

I love being allowed to participate at the beginning, and end, of life.

I love doing the little things to touch someone's life when they are frightened and ill.

Specializes in Med nurse in med-surg., float, HH, and PDN.

Not to be a grinch, but sometimes what I like about nursing is being off-duty!

Specializes in hospice.

LOL being able to work full time in only 3 days out of a 7 day week is a definite perk! I admit to having this attitude as well and plan to keep it as I move up.
