I am interested to know your hardest class. What did you do to get through it? Please do not use acronyms....not everyone will know what you mean.....Thanks!
So far for me it has been what we call Health Management 1. It had some med-surg, community, and lots of odds and ends that don't fit anywhere else. It really sucked! And now matter how hard I tried I could not get an A. I am curious though at other nursing schools how does the grading scale work? Ours is: 100-95 A94-93 A-
93-90 B+
89-87 B
87-85 B-
So to get an A you really have to work your butt off, personally by the time I graduate I probably won't have one anymore, (wishful thinking). I woud like to know though if other schools have a similar grading scale?
Hi Leaflet,
So far I do not know which is the hardest but, wanted to share my school's grading scale.
96-100 A
93-96 A-
91-92 B+
88-90 B
86-87 B-
83-85 C+
Anything below an 86 % for more than one quarter and we are dismissed from the program, no discussion, (one C is allowed).

While subject matter, and your affinity for it is always important ... the difficulty of a class is always determined by the instructor. You can work your butt off studying but if the instructor's test questions, etc. are impossibly difficult then, that's going to be the deciding factor.

My toughest class was Oncology but, I think it has a lot to do with how much you are interested in the topic and how well the professor teaches it. I had a first time professor and she struggled to teach oncology more than I struggled to learn it. It did make it more difficult than it otherwise should have been.
