Hello all, I just passed the NCLEX-RN, took the test on Tuesday and found out that I passed on Thursday. My question is, how long does it take to actually get my license in the mail and see my name on the web site? Any know? Thanks, Shannon~

I am also from NY and I thought that I didnt have it either. After contacting my DON from my nursing program I was informed that it is included in the nursing program, yours may be as well. Shannon~

I took my exam this am and I also had 75 questions...I did feel confident but after reading all these posts I am not so sure. I wish you luck! Shannon~

I took my NCLEX-RN at 9am today (my fingers are crossed) I had 75 questions three were select all that apply and all the rest were multiple choice. Most of my questions were in regards to knowing what patients to "bunk" together and which pt should have a private room, some ped questions, one chemo question and a few delegation questions. I did study but nothing I studied was on the exam...lol. Good luck and I hope I helped.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

I graduate on May 26th, I am so excited and it all still seams so surreal. I also am a bit stressed out about the NCLEX but I have my fingers crossed. I just want to get it all over with so that I can officially say "I am an RN". Congrads to all the May grads and good luck to your future endevors! Shannon~

Ohhh boy, This one is the most commonly asked question where ever I go. When I do my clinicals or preceporship everyone says "you have three kids? OMG, how do you do it?". My answer is always the same " I dont know how". I am 29, my husband sides houses for a living so he is gone from dawn till dusk. My children are 6,8 and 11 and I struggle everyday. I cry a lot and I am always broke because I cannot do everything with the kids and school and work. I find that my biggest problem is financial and my greatest benefit is a great friend that I made while doing my pre-reqs. I have been going for almost three years now full-time and I graduate May 26th (whoo whoa). I would not take any of it back, it was the best thing I ever did! My advise is just do it...suck up all of the bad times and look toward the future!

I totally agree:yeahthat: , I was an aid for 8 years before I went back to school to get my RN. You would not believe some of the simple things that the RN's on the floor(who had never been aids) did not know how to do. For instance, I had an RN place a fracture pan underneath a pt for me one time. When the pt put her light on for me to take it out I saw her bed was soaked...the RN had put the pan under the pt backwards. If there is one thing I can say about CNA's, they are professional pan placers...among many other things!

Badabinggirl, I am so glad to here from someone that has gone though what I am about to go through. I have 5 misdeameanor convictions from when I was a teenager. I am now 29 years old and have not been in any trouble since I was 19. In NY state when you have completed 3 semesters of the RN program you are eligable to sit for you LPN boards. I just (DEC 15) completed my 3rd semester so I am going to sit for my LPN boards. The entire reason I am sitting for the LPN boards is because I want to deal with the BON and my convictions ASAP. I graduate in May and I would love to have this all behind me. I am a nervous reck, do you have any advice? As of right now I dont know anything so any info you have would be of great help.
