My first major purchase will be....wait for it.......A HOUSE, lol. I know some of you are like "WTH" lol. I am going to work my ass off that first year or so for a down payment. What are you losers *ahem*, I mean gentlemen going to buy?
I don't want to go crazy, but I do want to spurge that first check. I'll be freshly 20, single, with no kids when I graduate May 2013! I will probably just bask in that fact that I''l be licensed to push dangerous drugs through somebodies veins, but can't legally purchase alcohol.Lolz! I want to go out of the country on vacation not too long after I become a nurse though. Eventually I would like a Mercedes or a Hybrid car. The hybrid is probably more sensible seeing how gas is going. Of course after working a month or two I want to move away from home! I can really wait to get the really nice car until after I graduate fron NP school when I'm 24 or 25 (at least that my goal).
I'm thinking I'll do something for my parents because of the support they'll have given me through my studies- car, accommodation, school fees ect. I'd hate to calculate how much of a financial parasite I really am.Thinking maybe paying for a mystery weekend for them. Or something else thoughtfull.Next big purchase would be a house ASAP.-All dependent on landing a job though :S I'll definitely stick with homehealth caregiving while I study so I'll atleast have work with them sun I graduate.

Hey man good on you, i intend to do the same. My parents told me not to worry and to just start earning and paying my loan off/supporting myself. but i intend to give them a holiday to say thank you.
ok i need some input. pleasse i had orientation to nursing program last week so friday i .do my pee drug test... i am worried because i have a rx for morph from pcp for when i cant stand the pain! i dont take it everyday so my question is will this show up on drug test and even though i have a letter from pcp saying this is one of my meds for emergencies? will they permit me to stay in program?

With the amount of debt I have incurred, I would like to get a handle on that first. Other than that, my long term goal is to pay for a vacation for my parents as a thank you for all of their emotional (and financial) support through my schooling.
