The first thing I did was pay off my student loans. It took about a year. It was great not to have that loan hanging over my head.

All my life, I have been deprived of a quality gaming desktop machine, so one of the very first thing that I'm going to buy this year after I get my job as a nurse is a custom built desktop computer (I'm 22, btw).

Sorry for interrupting your thread, dudes, but I want to buy a horse of my own (a young 15-16 hand black and white Walking Horse mare), a trailer to haul her with, and perhaps a lovely bungalow in my town. Then, time to build up urban farm (gardens, chickens, bees, goats, you name it.)

This is a funny ass question. Sounds like becoming a nurse is getting signed to a major sports league. LOL! Well am gonna buy some more testosterone, since I've been drowning in estrogen for a good part of my quest of becoming a nurse.

I'm not a dude, but wanted to chime in. I would get an iPhone, because at that point I can pay for a plan. By the time I get a job, iPhone 5 might be out.

A house is a great idea, if you are pretty sure about the area you'd like to spend the next 5-10 (or more) years in!
For me, I will spend a good chunk of my paycheck on loans & savings.
My first big purchase (from what I hope to be a larger paycheck) will be an impulse buy, likely.
Maybe I'll go on a cruise, drop way too much money on clothes, or secretly donate some money to a young nursing student.
Well...we've all been putting off things that require disposable income. Hobbies usually
require it.
