I have to go out this week and pick up school supplies for my kids and I also need to get some of my own!
I know notebooks, folders, pens and highlighters...anything else that would be useful? Even fun?
I love office supplies! LOL!

I find that somebody (myself included) is always out of paper at the wrong time, so I have started to carry a small, pocket sized pad of paper in my backpack.
:) :) :)
A rolling backpack - to carry all those books and save your back!
Highlighters, post it flags, and post-it notes
flashcards (if you are that sort of person) - there's a lot of memorizing in the A&P classes, so flashcards come in handy
Different colored pens - so you can mark up your notes for the really important points!
Recording device for lectures - I found this invaluable for the prof that speaks really fast or goes through a lot of material in a short amount of time. You can go back and listen to the tape or digital recorder to fill in the blanks on your lecture notes. It's also a great way to review and find out what you missed!
Time manager - anything that helps you see a month at a glance so you can tell when that next paper, midterm or assignment is due!
Happy studying!

I like the little mini Sharpies.. I have about a dozen different colors all on one of those loose rings. I also got a single hole punch that is about the same size as the miniture tot staplers. It actually is quiet, unlike most hole punches, and I was able to use it on all the handouts at orientation last week without being stared at for making noise. I also love pens, any and all assortments of colors. Crayola twistable colored pencils are also really cool, I just wish they were also erasable.

What brand of recorder did you buy to record your lectures? I have one but the playback sound was horrible. There are so many out there that I don't know which one to buy that is better.
Thanks!

I'm not near my recorder right now because I'm on vacation, but I think it's a Sony or Panasonic. It's an analog tape recorder. I know other people who had digital recorder or used an adapter for their IPOD like devices. Perhaps others on this forum can chime in?

When I was a kid I would get a new "Organizer" from Mead every new school year.
Mead came out with this 5 pocket folder with velcro when I was a young girl and I jsut loved them. They would have fancy pictures or drawings on the cover. My favorite was the one I got in 6 th grade. It had a drawing of a white unicorn on it. My uncle was an artist and used it in a mock up of one of his wood sculpture.
I still have the folder and my parents have the sculpture.
