and soon to be the new lpn 2005 which is in the works .

it'll be interesting to finally see a magazine devoted to lpns that won't be too (how should i say this?) 'dumb-down!' i mean, i subscribe to advance for lpns, but often find the reading level to be that of six to eight grade; however, the sister magazine, advance for nurses is informative for a free publication. i would like to see good nursing focused articles geared for the lpns' scope of practice, yet be educating enough for ce credits. i'm keeping my fingers crossed with this one ;).

cheers,

moe

I enjoy Revolution which really focuses on the nurse and the patient. I also enjoy American Journal of Nursing. I detest Advance for Nurses and Nursing Spectrum which are propaganda pieces for the hospitals.

I enjoy RN, AJN, NURSING and Lifelines (from AWHONN).

hey skm-nursiepooh, we have the same taste in reading material. i am also looking forward to the new lpn 2005- just sent my subscription in this week. i agree about advance for lpn's, it seems to be geared towards someone with a below normal reading ability. :uhoh21:

"Made Incredibly Easy"

(yep, the same folks who brought you the books have a bimonthly journal.

I subscribed to it when I discovered nursingcenter was "selling" articles from the journal for $2.95 a pop, and they were articles that I was interested in reading!)

Love it too. Get it at Chapters. "Easy" has something every issue that is relevant.

I like RevolutioN:

The Journal for RNs and Patient Advocacy

Like the 'American Journal of Critical Care'
