Well, I applied for a Spring 06 ADN program, and notification letters were to be mailed before Jan 3 b/c that was orientation. I went out of town for New Year's, and when I returned home I still hadn't received a letter. I assumed that I didn't get, so I registered for the rest of my BSN pre-req's. Yesterday morning (Jan 3), I received a call at 9:15am from a woman named Cathy and she said, "Hello Brianna, we've been waiting for you." I said, "For what?!?!" and Cathy said "Nursing Orientation started today at 8:00am and we were wondering where you are." I couldn't believe it!! I said, " I never received a letter, so I didn't know any details about orientation." Cathy said, "Well we would like you to come as soon as you can seeing as though orientation is mandatory." I was so excited, but stressed at the same time because I wasn't prepared, and I knew that I was already late. So when I arrived, I saw a friend of mine, and thank the lord that she spoke up on my behalf b/c the school thought I was a no-show and I would have forfeit my spot. Later on that day, another girl came in around 11:30 because she didn't receive a letter either!! Isn't this amazing? Anyways...orientation lasted until 5:00pm and there was sooooo much information to be absorbed! ADN '07 here I come!!
