What computer system do you use in the OR?

I have to take a class on ORMIS soon.

    We are using HMS but it is not made for surgery we built the perioperative assessments ourselves. The nice thing is we can change it as we go.

    :eek:ORMIS---just make sure that you learn where all the "hidden" charting tabs are and the difference between the + and = signs---you will understand after taking the class. If whoever is teaching it doesn't go into these make sure you ask or you will get a lot of charts back to fix.

    While ORMIS is not high on my list for charting, I have yet to work with the perfect OR charting system. When I come up with it I will let you all know. LOL.

    Cerner and Surginet. The cool thing about it is that you can run reports in order to track what kinds of cases staff does so you can coordinate training for them.
