I just thought I throw a silly question out there to all you hard- working nursing students. I go to Metro Tech in OKC, our scrubs are khaki.
Yes, I said KHAKI. I didn't know that there was a such thing as khaki srubs. LOL:wink2:

One of our volunteer units has khaki scrubs. Ugliest. Color. Ever.
Since I work two units, I was given the choice to either change into khaki scrubs or wear one of those yellow, hot isolation gowns. I chose the isolation gowns because a) it's too much trouble to change for the time that I'm there and b) I'm not buying a pair of khaki colored scrubs if I don't have to!! Ugh.
My sympathies.

For school (Tulsa Tech) we have to wear navy pants and a white top. I think it's a pretty decent uniform. If we want to wear a jacket it has to be navy as well.
Sorry to hear about the khaki!

pink, ciel blue, teal, and khaki :uhoh21: oops ... didn't realize it was so out!
Then I wear various print jackets to perk them all up.
The colors I inherited from a previous job where we even had certain colors for certain days. Funny, but I rather like the khaki, just not too wild about teal. euugh! My favorite is probably the pink. And what other job could I have where I could wear pink all over! :wink2:
Hey Texan - whatcha doing posting in the Okie forum??? You're just wishing you lived north of the Red River, right?
I don't necessarily think that khaki is bad. I just wouldn't want to be forced to wear it as my uniform. Last year I was trying to find some scrubs when I was doing phlebotomy and tried on a khaki set. I couldn't decide if I was dressed for a safari or headed into the medical field! Khaki just isn't a nice color on me - makes me look even more pale than I already am! If you like it, then stick with it baby!

At our school in Florida our scrubs are WHITE. I hate it cause i have to be extra cautious about what color undies i wear. LOL and yes the teacher will send you home if you forget and wear some pokadot undies. That is my only concern about the white..Plus the fact that anything shows up on them....

For school (OCU in OKC) our uniforms are royal blue scrubs, which I actually really like - not an offensive or impractical color at all!
Yeah, royal blue isn't bad. It's what I have to wear for work as a CNA. I call it my "smurf tones."

UCO and we wear royal blue as well. Which isn't bad but anymore I hate the color...lol I feel like a Smurf. I also hate the white shoes we have to wear, I hate white.
I guess it could be worse.
Oops! Such a colorful thread, I couldn't resist. Realized later, and came back to edit it today. Busted, already!
Actually, I'm saving money and just using the scrubs we were required to use at my previous job. Can't wait till I'm earning $$ and can buy some lilac!
BTW, hurry up and send that cold front down!

TCC RN program- Royal blue! Not too shabby :)
They didn't used to be royal blue...did they? I know the rad tech program used to be royal blue. Seems like RN used to be burgandy? So maybe I need to hang on to my CNA uniform for when I do LPN-RN --- I'll just rip out the CNA that's embroidered on it!
