I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.
Btweet said:This is false. The links I provided included all perpetrators of slavery. It would seem others became "royalty" and benefitted just as much within their own country and race.
It was another member suggesting that it is a "caucasion men" that were at mostly at fault. I provided sources and facts that state otherwise.Doing so does not suggest that I or anyone else is avoiding accountability. The "right wing members" were providing a a fact to an inaccurate belief to the obvious racial discrimination of "caucasions" as the main perpetrators of slavery. Which is a historical inaccuracy. As the sources state.
Slavery is a stain on humans. A evil act carried by all who are human. Not by a skin color.
Did you know there is still slavery happening right now? In Africa and other places? However not in North America? I think the angry feelings of those who like to express their emotions would be more productive if they focused on modern-day slavery. Instead of attempting to demoralize an entire race by atrocities committed in the past by people who are not alive nor are the people they enslaved. For political gain.
(Before you start, my last statement does not in any which way downgrade accountability or the suffering of those who are no longer living).
Never forget! But remember it all, not just part of history.
Whatever with this crap your trying to spew.
What I remember is African Americans in chains, getting whipped, raped, drowned, dismembered, hanged, burned by whites. Period
heron said:All very nice and erudite ... but my point was that the behavior of other people at other times in other places does not erase the fact that African slavery in the New World was practiced by Europeans for the benefit of Europeans. Attempting to minimize that is simply dishonest.
So ... what is your take on the role of slavery in the economic development of the European colonies in the New World?
Heron these statements coming from some of these posters are ridiculous. Tbh, none of us were there and all we have left are memorabilia, paintings, pictures, writings, artifacts, ancestral items left from some of our African American peoples and a lot of these images and memorabilia depict harsh treatment being carried out by some whites and white supremacists. You and I know that. We don't have to play mind games with some of these posters. I got nothing for the rest of these people.
toomuchbaloney said:On the North American continent caucasions were the slavers. Should I just wait for you to protest that there were slavers of color and try to pretend that slavery in the American South was an equal opportunity endeavor?
Your entire premise seeks to minimize the brutality of racist caucasions in the antebellum south.

You remember that? Are you 160 years old?
What I remember is gangs of Black Supremacists burning down businesses, beating people, attacking police officers, breaking into neighborhoods and threatening residents, storming the nation's capital, storming the Oklahoma capital..... This is because this is recent history, not ancient history like what you are talking about.
"by whites", just say that you don't like white people. Its very unsettling that we have such open racists in the healthcare field.
toomuchbaloney said:Yep...I'm blaming caucasion men for the North American slave trade.
There's no justice for victims if we won't/can't even correctly identify those who committed the injustice, the brutality, the murders and inhumane treatment right here in our coubtry.
Apparently you aren't aware that every one of the 13 American colonies there were free blacks who owned slaves. They even owned white indentured servants as well.

The left will say all of that is justified. The funny thing is all this poverty and myriad of problems are in blue run cities. The left rarely suffers the consequences of their failed policies. In fact it's usually a resume enhancement.
QuoteThe Defense Department will no longer require service members to get vaccinated for COVID-19, according to a memo signed Tuesday by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The move comes weeks after President Joe Biden signed the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, and with it a plan to rescind Austin's August 2021 memo directing the services to create a vaccination policy.
"The Department will continue to promote and encourage COVID-19 vaccination for all Service members,” Austin wrote. "The Department has made COVID-19 vaccination as easy and convenient as possible, resulting in vaccines administered to over two million Service members and 96 percent of the force ― Active and Reserve ― being fully vaccinated.”
