Curious at what the average age is that people are in nursing school?
I am doing my pre reqs now and will be 28 when I start!

I have been working on pre-req.s for year. This will be my next career.
First was in business and then we home-schooled our kids and next is nursing. Started this adventure when 47 and will finish when 50.
I'm planned on living all my life and I think this will make it interesting. :balloons:

Started at 42 and ending at 44. I'm old, but wiser. I would have been 44 "anyway" this year had I not gone to nursing school~!
But, I know I have a profession now that I can continue into my older years if I'm able!

I will be 27 (crossing my fingers I get into the program this spring!). I attempted to start a BSN program when I was 20, and I just didn't have the desire or dedication to be in school, I wanted to live it up! All partying done and put aside I am ready now to fully dedicate myself to nursing.

I started in Spring 07, at the ripe old age of 34, turned 35 during my first semester. I have several friends who have taken the course that I am in, one is 55, with children and grandchildren and the other is 52 and is a pastor at a local church. They both loved school, and now love their jobs. They inspire me so much!!
