For me this is a second career and the possible variety of things to do is what attracts me to this next career. I like learning and becoming and nursing seems to offer opportunity for both. I start a BSN program in Jan.
My parents have always believed in me and I have a husband who believes I can do anything. I have also been a mentor for others, helping them choose to see that there are always options and to keep looking for the ones he/she is most comfortable with. Most importantly has been a relationship with Jesus. He has sustained me in the push points in life.
I will be starting BSN in January and have almost met all the pre-reqs except micro. This will be a 2nd career for me an I am used to knowing what I am doing so starting over and being a rookie is rather ...well...different. I want to get it right and would like peoples opinion as to what area he/she would suggest. Thanks.
I have a first degree is in mgt/ mkt and then was a outside sales person and liked it but when we had our children I wanted to stay home to raise them. Now they are grown and I want to keep growing also. Nursing and health care is a growing industry and seemed logical. I can keeep learning and growing as long as I wish with this feild and I like that alot!
I have been working on pre-req.s for year. This will be my next career. First was in business and then we home-schooled our kids and next is nursing. Started this adventure when 47 and will finish when 50. I'm planned on living all my life and I think this will make it interesting. :balloons:
