Curious at what the average age is that people are in nursing school?
I am doing my pre reqs now and will be 28 when I start!

I graduated in May 2006 at the ripe old age of 50.

I graduated when I was 30, but..... believe it or not, we had an 80 year YOUNG woman graduate with us!!! I don't know if she ever started working in the field, but by gosh.... she went to school and graduated at that age!!!

I was 15 when I started my prereqs and 17 when I entered nursing school. I will be 19 when i graduate this May! I'm the youngest of the class, but the average age is 26.7 or something close to that. THere are two students over age 50 in our class, both have bachelor degrees in other areas...

34 now, taking pre-reqs.
36 when i graduate (if i get in on the first try).
glad to see that there are many like me--going for nursing at my age and above. very encouraging!! :balloons: :balloons:

Started at age 22....three kids and three husbands later I finished at 34!! NEVER GIVE UP!!

I have to let eveyone know, I responded to this thread saying how old I would be if I went to school...well today I got my acceptance letter for the fall class, now I can offically say I will be 57 when I start. This is just too much!!!!!

Became an Lpn @ 28 y/o. I'm now 43. Left the RN program @ 41 with one semester left to complete. GPA 3. something r/t $. There are only two regrets I have in my life 1. smoking 2. bad credit.
