Hello everyone,
I am applying to the pre licensure program at WGU, I have everything done already, and I will have my interview with Joe the Prelicensure Team lead on Friday, I am very excited to start the program, but also very afraid and anxious, I really hope I can get in. My counselor said that the next cohort for the Los Angeles area starts in March 2012, so if everything goes well I wil be the happiest person alive if I get in and start in march. Is there anyone applying to this cohort? Does anyone know any other cohort starting earlier? if anyone has any tips for me, what should I do next, or if anyone that is already in the program has any tips, any info will be greatly appreciated!!!
What should I expect regarding the clinicals application, is the emotional intelligence test hard? What about the WGU's foundational nursing skills performance assessment?
Thank you very much in advance!!!

quantitative literacy
literature, arts, and humanities
im missing those and i dont know how they equate to the classes at my local cc...
im going to talk to an admissions rep tomorrow
my sciences are gonna be done this semester and im probably going to have a 3.4 i hope that is good enough
foundations do you mean foundations of college mathematics? that can be taken through straighterline and so can quantitative literacy. i clep'd humanities. that's a tough clep i won't lie, but if you study hard it's doable. here's a link to straighterline with their course equivalents. transfer college credits to western governors university - straighterline
Im not taking my classes on straighter line... although i might do that math portion if it saves me time... I was wondering how classes transfer from actual brick n mortar community colleges..
As long as they are regionally and nationally accredited there should be no problem transferring them. I went through Straighterline and CLEP tests because of the cost and time factor. I was able to study and test with all the CLEP tests with 2-3 weeks of study time and $70 a test. I didn't have any problem transferring classes that came from actual brick and mortar community colleges.
I am looking at WGU prelicensure but am still missing BioChem and Micro. I looked at Straightline but they don't offer either. Any online resources anyone can suggest? I have previously taken Chem but it has been over 10 years. Also can anyone suggest any accelerated programs in the LA area that won't bankrupt me? Thanks!

Micro can be done online through Ocean County College -Microbiology Online at Ocean County College. I took it through them with their quick course (shorter than a regular term I want to say 8 weeks, but have to go look to be sure.) Berkeley offers a self paced biochem class - Introductory Biochemistry course - UC Berkeley Extension Those are both online courses. I can't help you with the LA area stuff.
