Hello everyone,
I am applying to the pre licensure program at WGU, I have everything done already, and I will have my interview with Joe the Prelicensure Team lead on Friday, I am very excited to start the program, but also very afraid and anxious, I really hope I can get in. My counselor said that the next cohort for the Los Angeles area starts in March 2012, so if everything goes well I wil be the happiest person alive if I get in and start in march. Is there anyone applying to this cohort? Does anyone know any other cohort starting earlier? if anyone has any tips for me, what should I do next, or if anyone that is already in the program has any tips, any info will be greatly appreciated!!!
What should I expect regarding the clinicals application, is the emotional intelligence test hard? What about the WGU's foundational nursing skills performance assessment?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
So looks like 3 of us so far.. anyone else? Excited to meet every one! For all of those still waiting or applying next time, just keep trying. It took me a while also!

congrats to everyone who's been accepted. just curious what was you science GPA teas score that got you accepted ?
For my acceptance:
Science GPA was 4.0
TEAS 81.3%
11 years as a pediatric respiratory therapist
Good luck to all!!
Hey Music,
I think you have to have all the science pre req done before you enter the program. Be sure they fit what they want. Best thing to do is apply and send your transcripts and AS degree to WGU, they will get back to you in a few weeks and let you know what you need. They will also line you up with an enrollment counselor, they will walk you through the process. Once you have your pre req's done, or getting close to have them done, take the TEAS test. all of the information is on the WGU web site.
I have a prior BS in Health Science and Respiratory Care.
What Pre Req's do you need that your local CC does not have?
RRT did you have a prior degree? Congrats BTWquestion: im interested in this program, i have most of the pre-reqs, there are a few pre-reqs they dont have at the local CC, can i take the rest of the pre-reqs at the school? and once your done with everything do you apply and wait?
I was missing a fair amount of prereqs. I took 3 CLEP tests and 3 through Straighterline and one through another community college that offered online courses. What are you missing?
